WELCOME

Welcome to the Chester, Deep River, Essex & Region 4 School Districts, serving the communities of Chester, Deep River and Essex. It is an honor and a privilege to lead these high-quality districts. Our schools are representative of the collective efforts of the stakeholders in each of the communities comprising Chester, Deep River, Essex & Region 4, and we are proud of the many accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff. We respect and appreciate the support and involvement of our families in the education of their children. Their partnership and trust is essential to our success.

The mission of the Chester, Deep River, Essex & Region 4 Schools is to engage all students in a rigorous and collaborative educational program.  We prepare our learners to be respectful citizens who are empowered to contribute in a globalized society.

The three strategic initiatives that focus the efforts of our districts are (a) a PreK-12 focus on critical and creative thinking (b) the continued development of our assessment practices (c) support teachers to implement best teaching and learning practices, with an emphasis on higher order thinking skills and digital literacy.

I invite you to explore the content on our website to learn more about our schools, the quality programming, and the opportunities we offer our students. You will find districts committed to the success of every student.

Sincerely,

Brian J. White, Superintendent
